FASHION/ #TRENDING for SS16

Hey everyone,

Farfetch reached out to me again and I have to say I am so honored and excited to be considered for their new contest! Thank you to Laurren @ Farfetch for including me :)

They've provided this SS16 trend guide which is a great skim for anyone looking for some seasonal inspiration!

Now I know all you guys are thinking, "But Marchel, this is womenswear! (not that it really means anything because we know half of what you wear leans towards a more unisex look anyways)"

But to balance it out I've put together my own awesome style guide with three "feelings" I'm looking forwards to wearing this summer season. I prefer to call them "feels" or "looks", sometimes I find the word "trend" too pushy - if you're not into it that's fine, no need to make other people feel out of the loop right?

LOOK 1: LIGHT GUARD

Currently fascinated with motion and how garments will move and peel away from the body as you walk. I also love how "movement in clothing" usually conjures up images of chiffon and light fabrics but with this look we're playing with the complete opposite - the movement of heavier pleats and quilted fabrics.

Jacket CRAIG GREEN Top RAF SIMONS Shorts JIL SANDER

Obviously the perfect shoe to top of a heavy look is white sneaker. I picked the Maison Margiela 'Replica' sneaker in white because I'm really into the way the gum-sole plays nicely off of the broken-grid print of the Raf Simons top.
