OUTFIT/ Finders Keepers

Found both the Saint Laurent scarf and Alexander Wang pleated sweats amidst the Holts sale a month back and couldn't help but snatch them up - I can't believe I haven't officially posted a photo of them yet! The sweats are a silk/wool blend with a nice cocoon shape and some great front pleats, completed with some zippers at the inner ankle. The scarf is one of my new favourite scarves because it was the only piece from the collection that really caught my attention, not to mention I've always wanted to own something weird from Saint Laurent... just cause why not, right?

I've also recently received a haircut at JD's Barber Shop in Gastown as a Valentines gift from Saul but I took these photos before I got the cut so you'll all have to see me in real life or just wait until I post a new outfit with my new hair!

Saul got me the Comme Des Garçons x Converse shoes for Christmas and I absolutely love them. They're so cute and comfortable and are great for adding street-kawaii to an all black outfit :)

BRUNCH CLUB/ Alibi Room Round 2

We originally planned to visit Nuba in Gastown at 12 but some people couldn't make it because of work so we pushed the time back to 11. The morning of, I checked Nuba's website to phone and let them know were were going to be a larger group, only to discover they open at 12 on Saturdays... So needless to say, we ended back up at The Alibi Room, which I wasn't complaining about because their Brie + Pesto Eggs Benny is absolutely divine.

A couple of our friends didn't up making it due to unforeseen circumstances, and Jordan had to leave early so it's just the three of us, but this is what we wore! See the full photo after the jump!

OUTFIT/ Culotte Me Maybe

Okay I just needed a name for this post and that was the first thing that came to mind so don't make fun of me, although I won't be mad if you do. Just got these navy satin culottes from Topshop and I haven't felt this excited to wear something in a while! We received them at TS as a part of the "Skate Away" trend inspired by Cara Delevigne's casual off-duty looks. The moment I saw them I felt like I understood them: matched with a slouchy-slightly-cropped burn-out tshirt, a fun floral (and maybe quilted?) bomber jacket, and a slouchy toque.

On a side note, we went shopping with Saul's manager for her Malaysian vacation and we paired them with this cut-out crop top to make a laser sharp outfit. The cut out angles of the crop with the stiff wide-legs create a very Alex Wang-esque look. It's hot, believe me. :)

Back on track, it was really cold today so I had to layer up (as seen underneath the large image) and I swear the layers looked cool in real life but the photos just look super slumpy. Too bad. To make it up to you I learned how to do this cool Cinemagraphy thing! So there!
