OUTFIT/ Black Christmas

I've been a bad boy in regards to my December posting schedule. In the midst of O1O work and "maybe" getting a new camera and the quickly depleting daylight I managed to not post for 4 weeks straight. The horror!

The good news is that I did end up purchasing a new camera (albeit on a Future Shop credit card so I can pay it off slowly) and it's really exciting because it's got an amazing ISO which means I can take photos in low light settings that my other camera just wouldn't be able to handle. Hurrah!

To celebrate, I took some outfit snaps  the day before with one of my new presents that Saul let me open in advance as a Christmas Eve present. It's a long black Comme Des Garcons shirt with iridescent buttons and lovely back-shoulder pleats that really add to the detailing of the garment. I'm just so excited to because I know I'll have this forever as a great layering piece or just as an easy throw on. Thank you Saul! Love that guy ;D

I hope everyone has happy and restful holidays with good food and good company!

OUTFIT/ M is for McQueen

ARGHHH I can't believe it's been three weeks since my last post and I feel gross for not posting anything. It's been crunch time on my end with two different large projects (one of which is still in progress) and the other being the December issue of One1One Magazine! If you haven't seen it yet, click the link and check it out! I styled three shoots with Saul: Cat Thomson, Paige Morgan, and Morfologica Nacional! Hope you enjoy them :)

Onto the outfit, Saul and I were bored one night so we set up the garage and did a little shoot. He really wanted a new profile photo so I figured I'd make him a nice one and take some outfit photos in the process. See Saul's photo at the end of the post! I'm really proud of it, I feel like I didn't even take or edit it hehehe (It's a lot better than mine too!). I originally bought the McQ Swallow Sweater for Saul's birthday present and the Kenzo as a shared (but more for me) present ;) so I don't usually wear it but he really wanted to wear the Kenzo for his profile photo so we ended up switching!

VIDEO/ Because Who Is Perfect?

Found this video through a link on Facebook and thought I'd share it. As someone who does window displays and who appreciates pushing boundaries while making fashion more accessible, I think this is a beautiful project and I'd LOVED to have worked on these windows!

"Disabled mannequins will be eliciting astonished looks from passers-by on Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse today. Between the perfect mannequins, there will be figures with scoliosis or brittle bone disease modelling the latest fashions. One will have shortened limbs; the other a malformed spine. The campaign has been devised for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities by Pro Infirmis, an organisation for the disabled. Entitled "Because who is perfect? Get closer.", it is designed to provoke reflection on the acceptance of people with disabilities. Director Alain Gsponer has captured the campaign as a short film."

Until next time,
